Chulilla

Chulilla

There are plenty of interesting places suitable for a day out, within a short drive, and also further afield.  Since buying the property a few years ago, we’ve explored the surrounding area, and below are a few of the attractions we think are worth a visit.

We provide a lot of this information in a Welcome Pack when you arrive at the Villa, but if there’s anything that particularly appeals, you might want to print it off before you arrive.

Lliria sits within the Turia valley, and it’s well worth exploring some of the towns and villages further upstream.  Chelva is a pretty town on a hill above the river, and there’s a pleasant river walk, as well as a Roman Aqueduct to visit.

Another charming town is Chulilla, with Moorish Battlements above the town, and a deep ravine below.  There are also walks down into the ravine from the town.

No trip to the region would be complete without a visit to Valencia City, of course, and we’ve listed some of our favourite places for you to explore.

If you fancy a day on the beach, there are several within a 40-45 minute drive, including the one in Valencia City itself.

A little further afield are the town of Sagunto, with its huge castle, and an Underground River, or for a complete change of scene, there are a couple of theme parks within 2-3 hours drive.
