Water Route Walk

Water Route Walk

The is a pleasant 2 hour walk from the town of Chelva, which passes through the historic quarter of the town, and along the river Turia.

Along the way, you pass by the ruins of an old hydroelectric plant, and walk through the tunnel that fed the water to them.  (Taking a torch for the tunnel is reccommended!)

If it’s a hot day, there’s also a small bathing pool and picnic area.

The walk is graded moderate—although it’s a River walk, part of the walk climbs high above the River, as it passes through a Gorge.
There are information boards along the way—we provide a information sheet at the Villa which has the English translations
