There are three Theme Parks which can be reached from Villa Jazmin as a day trip.
The closest, around 1 hour’s drive is a Water park: Aquopolis Cullera, which has lots of swimming pools, a wave machine, and lots of water slides – it’s been carefully designed to appeal to all ages. Prices (as of April 2011) are €21.50/Adult, €17.50/Child (between 0.9m and 1.4m tall).
Further South, near Benidorm (almost 2 hours drive), is the Terra Mitica Theme Park. This is a park along the lines of the Florida Parks, with all sorts of rides, based around an “Ancient Meditteranean” theme, with areas representing Greece, Rome, Iberia, The Islands, and Eygpt. It also has Europe’s longest wooden rollercoaster. Prices (as of April 2011) are €35/Adult, €26.50/Child (5-10 years). In the opposite direction and, we feel, at the very limit of a day trip, since it’s around 2h45m drive, is the Port Aventura Theme Park, near Tarragona. This is the biggest of the three parks mentioned, with separate areas based on Mexico, China, Polynesia, Mediterranean, and the Far West, as well as a Sesame Street-themed area specifically for younger kids. Not only that, but it has its own Water Park too, with more varied rides than the one at Cullera. Prices (as at Apr 2011) are €44/Adult, €35/Child for the main park, and €24/Adult, €19/Child for the Water Park.
