The Ciutat de les Artes i les Ciències, to give it its full, Valencian title, is a masterpiece of Modern Architecture, with several futuristic buildings designed by Spanish Architect Santiago Calatrava.
There are five main sections:
The prices vary for each attraction – the Umbracle is free unless there’s a special exhibition on, while the Oceanographic is the most expensive (€24.50 in 2011). There are discounted combination tickets available if you plan to visit more than one attraction – for full details see the CAC Website
Note: If you’re planning a visit to L’Oceanografico, then we recommend buying your tickets via the Internet or Phone (+34 902 100 031 – ask for an English operator) – particularly if you plan to visit on a Summer weekend. The queue to buy tickets can take 45 minutes at times – the queue to pick up tickets you’ve already bought is usually much shorter.
